It’s been a busy year for me and I’ve enjoyed it. The Open Studio fortnight was quite hectic and I received invitations to exhibit at both Hempstead Arts and the Hobart Gallery – situated at the stunning National Trust property of Blickling Hall – both new venues for me and enjoyable and interesting experiences, meeting lots of new people. The COAST arts festival at the end of the season is always enjoyable too.
For the past two years I’ve organised the café exhibitions at Priory Maze Gardens near Sheringham on behalf of NOVA. This has been a lot of fun and in the process I’ve got to know lots of NOVA artists. I’m stepping back from doing this as the season draws to a close and would like to say a big ‘Thank-you’ to everybody for their help. The Priory are continuing their arty programme and their support of local artists.
I’m going to have a quieter year in 2015 and set more time aside to make new work. So I’ve decided not to do the Norfolk & Norwich Open Studios for 2015. Watch this space for all my 2015 activities and exhibiting slots. Happy Christmas and I hope you all have a peaceful, productive and successful New Year.
